Black and White Fine art Landscape Photography, Gerald Berghammer. No matter if vibrant metropolises like Dubai, New York or Las Vegas- rugged rock formations on the coasts of France, Iceland, Scotland or Ireland- or calming long exposure shots of raging oceans and stormy skies. The distinctive style of the internationally successful photographer Gerald Berghammer runs masterfully through all genres of landscape photography.Silver Gelatin Photograph. SILVERFINEART images are taken with analog film cameras. These include a Hasselblad 500 cm, a 4x5 inch view camera and a 6x17 cm panorama camera. All negatives are developed by hand in the darkroom and printed as selenium toned silver gelatin print in a limited edition.
SILVERFINEART Gallery was founded in 2011 in the artistic heart of Vienna. Specialized in black and white photographs, visitors can also purchase tasteful sculptures made of wood and bronze that complement the images. In contrast to the fast world of digital images, the artworks you can purchase at SILVERFINEART Gallery radiate the calm and clarity of analog photography to create decelerating moments. Take a deep breath and let yourself be carried away to the fantastic metropolises of the USA, enchanting Vienna, romantic Paris and Venice, to the rugged coasts of France, the most magical places in Ireland or to the most secret spots in Austria that are not mentioned in any travel guide... Choose from a wide variety of motives in different sizes - we would be happy to bring the delicate magic of black and white photography to your home or office.
PATIENCE CONSTANT COMPANION. THE ART OF ANALOGUE PHOTOGRAPHY.GERALD BERGHAMMER SILVERFINEART PHOTOGRAPHY Due to his passion for analog photography and travelling, he started a unique project in 2010 Gerald Berghammer founded SILVERFINEART PHOTOGRAPHY.Since then, he always visited destinations whenever the best possible conditions for photographing existed. Storms and rain, fog and cold have always accompanied his journeys. Gerald Berghammer combine the charm of the forces of nature with long exposure times and he play skillfully with light and time. In this way, soft clouds get a threatening appearance, the stormy sky appears cloudless and beating waves look like calm waters. The attractive thing about landscape photography is to wait for the right moment. In my case, patience is the constant companion. The images also obtain a special tranquility and elegance, as color is omitted deliberately. His tools are analog cameras in three different formats 4x5 inch, 6x6cm and 6x17cm. The development of black and white negatives is done manually in the darkroom of the gallery in Vienna’s seventh district. Viewing the negatives in the darkroom is one of the best moments after an exhausting journey.Geralds works are strictly limited, enhanced with the SILVERFINEART impression and hand signed. They are elaborated in museum quality as Archival Pigment Ink Print or as Silver Gelatin Print on classic analogue baryta paper.
