Christian Dressler – Contemporary Portrait Painter

Born in 1974, Austrian artist Christian Dressler is a self-taught painter known for bold contemporary portraits of people and animals. His work combines vivid acrylic colour, expressive brushwork and graphic drawing elements, often incorporating charcoal to create a distinctive tension between painterly intensity and raw line.

Over more than three decades, Dressler has explored a wide range of materials and techniques, developing a direct and energetic visual language centred on colour, gesture and character.
