CHRISTIAN DRESSLER

acrylic paint portraits

Christian Dressler stands next to his outdoor painting of an elderly woman's portrait, painting tools in hand, in a park setting.

Autodidact, born in 1974, lives and works in Austria. For over 30 years he has experimented with different styles and materials. From BBQ charcoal and airbrush to LEDs and acrylic paint, he has used a wide range of media to explore graphic expression. His passion for photography—especially while travelling abroad—has helped him refine his sense of visual composition.

Largely self-taught in painting and drawing, he has also attended workshops and summer schools with accomplished artists and art teachers. At SILVERFINEART GALLERY, Christian Dressler is presented with a focus on bold acrylic portrait paintings of people and animals, sometimes combined with charcoal, creating a distinctive tension between vivid colour and raw, expressive line.
