THOMAS PUSSWALD

wooden figure sculptures

Thomas Pusswald (ToPu), artist at SILVERFINEART GALLERY, Vienna

Autodidact, born in 1972.
He lives and works in Vienna and Lower Austria. Through experimenting with different materials and closely observing his surroundings—alongside a long-standing interest in the arts—he began producing acrylic works around 20 years ago, which led to local and national exhibitions. In recent years, his practice has expanded into wooden sculpture, translating his figurative approach from painted surface into carved form. As in his paintings, the central theme remains the human figure.

At SILVERFINEART GALLERY, a curated selection of Pusswald’s paintings and wooden figures is presented side by side, highlighting the continuity in his work—from colour and gesture to volume and materiality—and offering collectors a clear view of his artistic development.
