2017 · EXHIBITION

Galerie Arnoux · Paris, France

BLACK AND WHITE IS BEAUTIFUL was an exhibition presented at Galerie Arnoux in Paris, France, from 26 October to 21 November 2017. Featuring analogue black-and-white fine art photography by Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer, the exhibition explored the relationship between light, atmosphere and photographic expression through minimalist landscapes, seascapes and architectural subjects.

The exhibited photography reflected Berghammer's distinctive approach to composition, visual reduction and tonal contrast. From atmospheric natural landscapes to carefully structured urban scenes, his photographs revealed a quiet interplay of form, space and stillness.

Created using traditional analogue photographic techniques, the works demonstrated Berghammer's dedication to craftsmanship and precise tonal control. Carefully balanced compositions, refined monochrome tones and expansive negative space transformed familiar subjects into timeless photographic studies.

BLACK AND WHITE IS BEAUTIFUL marked another chapter in Berghammer's international exhibition history, presenting his minimalist photographic work in Paris and reflecting his enduring commitment to artistic clarity and analogue photography.
