BLACK & WHITE MAGAZINE – SINGLE IMAGE AWARD WINNER
In 2014, Austrian fine art photographer Gerald Berghammer received first-place recognition in Black & White Magazine's Single Image competition. The award marked an important milestone in his photographic career, acknowledging his distinctive approach to black-and-white fine art photography and his commitment to artistic precision.
The magazine's official 2014 Single Image competition archive features photographs credited to Gerald Berghammer and Ina Forstinger, including Strong Birch in the Landscape/Nature category and Surreal Moment, Neist Point and Great Rock in the Seascape/Water category.
These works reflect an artistic approach characterised by minimalist compositions, atmospheric landscapes and carefully controlled tonal contrasts. Natural forms, negative space and visual balance create a restrained monochrome aesthetic defined by stillness and timeless simplicity.
The 2014 Single Image Award forms part of Berghammer's international recognition, alongside distinctions from the Black & White Spider Awards and the International Photography Awards. His dedication to photographic craftsmanship, visual reduction and artistic clarity continues to define his fine art photography and the creative identity of SILVERFINEART.
