Minimalist Colour Seascapes in Limited Editions
Gerald Berghammer’s colour seascape photography is defined by restrained colour, long exposure and precise tonal balance. From the cliffs of Étretat and the sea stacks of the Bay of Biscay to the remote rock formations of the Faroe Islands and the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, each composition explores the relationship between sea, sky and land.
Colour is used as a structural element rather than decoration. Natural blues, greens and muted coastal tones reinforce the atmosphere and visual stillness of each photograph.
