FOTOFEVER PARIS 2019 – Carrousel du Louvre
From 8 to 10 November 2019, Austrian fine art photographer Gerald Berghammer exhibited at FotoFever Paris, the international contemporary photography art fair held at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France. His participation marked another milestone in his international exhibition career, presenting his photographic work within one of Europe's most renowned cultural settings.
The exhibition showcased Berghammer's distinctive approach to fine art photography, characterised by minimalist black-and-white compositions, carefully balanced tonal contrasts and an emphasis on visual simplicity. Through long-exposure techniques and a refined photographic language, his work explores the relationship between light, form and space, transforming landscapes, seascapes and architectural subjects into quiet, timeless compositions.
Dedicated to contemporary photography and the art of collecting, FotoFever Paris brought together international galleries, photographers and collectors. The fair provided an opportunity to introduce Berghammer's photographic work to an international audience, reflecting his commitment to fine art photography as an independent artistic medium. His visual language, shaped by reduction, stillness and atmosphere, offered a distinctive perspective within the contemporary photography scene.
A particular highlight was the inclusion of SILVERFINEART in the accompanying art book, where the gallery was represented with a photograph. This publication provided an additional opportunity to document the gallery's participation in the international photography fair.
