Gerald Berghammer’s black-and-white waterscape photography is defined by stillness, movement and precise tonal balance. From mist-covered alpine lakes and weathered wooden piers to waterfalls and remote river landscapes, he uses long exposures and carefully considered compositions to transform water into calm, sculptural forms.
Working across Austria, Iceland, Norway, Scotland, Hungary, Vietnam and the United States, Berghammer reduces each landscape to its essential relationship between water, light and structure. Each photograph is produced to archival standards and offered in a carefully controlled limited edition.
