Gerald Berghammer is an Austrian fine art photographer and international multi-award-winning artist. His work is distinguished by a clear, timeless visual language, reduced compositions, restrained colour palettes and long exposures that distil light, atmosphere and quiet tension into precise, contemplative images. At once minimal and emotionally resonant, Berghammer’s photographs balance colour, structure and stillness, inviting a slower way of seeing.

At the centre of his practice is minimalist landscape photography. Horizons dissolve into haze, water becomes a quiet plane of colour, and lines, textures and subtle contrasts emerge as visual anchors within open space. By reducing each motif to its essential elements, Berghammer shifts attention towards nuance: colour relationships, gradients, surfaces, transitions and the changing character of natural light.

His colour photography explores landscapes, seascapes, waterscapes, architecture and quiet everyday scenes across Europe and selected international locations. Rather than using colour descriptively, Berghammer employs it as a compositional element, often working with restrained palettes and carefully balanced tonal relationships.

Long exposure is an important artistic tool within his practice, transforming movement, weather and changing light into simplified forms and calm visual surfaces. This approach gives the photographs their distinctive clarity and allows colour, space and structure to become central elements of the composition.

For his colour photography, Gerald Berghammer works with digital medium-format cameras. The high resolution, precise colour reproduction and refined tonal gradation of medium-format photography allow him to produce large-scale fine art photographs while preserving subtle detail, texture and colour relationships throughout the image.

FINE ART PRINT ONLY
Printed as an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, with a 4 cm white border for easy framing. Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta is a premium FineArt inkjet paper made from 100% cotton, featuring a baryta coating and a smooth, subtly glossy surface. It combines the distinctive feel of cotton rag with the classic look of baryta photographic paper.


COLOUR PHOTO ON DIBOND – FUJI CRYSTAL DP II
This colour print is produced as a traditional photographic print on Fuji Crystal DP II paper (RA-4). The result is a true photo print with crisp detail, smooth tonal transitions and rich, vibrant colour. The paper’s clean whites and deep blacks give the image a refined, gallery-quality finish. For added protection, the print is finished with a protective laminate.

The print is professionally mounted to an aluminium Dibond panel. It is available either frameless or framed in an aluminium ArtBox, in black or white. Additional frame colours are available on request.

FRAMELESS
With this option, the artwork appears to float. A 15 mm aluminium mounting profile is fixed to the reverse, fully concealed from the front, and doubles as the hanging system. Supplied ready to hang.

ALUMINIUM ARTBOX
The artwork is presented in a premium aluminium frame with a 25 mm profile depth. It sits flush to the wall using a gallery-rail hanging system. Available in black or white. For other frame colours, please contact us. Ready to hang.

ALUMINIUM FRAME WITH PASSE-PARTOUT
The aluminium frame is 1 cm wide and 2.5 cm deep, available in black or white. The image is produced as an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta and mounted to an acid-free backing. The passe-partout is white and museum quality. The artwork is protected by anti-reflective glass (70% UV protection). Ready to hang.

Our artworks are offered in a range of sizes to accommodate different spaces and presentation preferences. You can view the currently available size options by selecting “Image size.” For each size, the applicable limited-edition details are displayed, including the total edition size and availability.

Please note that editions are managed separately by size. This means each format is produced only up to its stated edition limit. Once the final edition number for a particular size has been issued, that size will be permanently retired and will no longer be produced or offered again. This ensures the integrity of the limited edition and preserves the long-term collectability of the work.

Each SILVERFINEART limited-edition artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), confirming the artwork’s authenticity, edition details and provenance.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the dimensions and weight of the packaged artwork. Select your destination country at checkout to view the applicable shipping charge.

Orders are dispatched within ten business days and carefully packed for safe transport. SILVERFINEART offers worldwide shipping to the delivery address provided with your order.

Deliveries outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping cost.

TRACKING

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number from our shipping partner. Your invoice will also be provided as a PDF attachment.

If you are a consumer and a statutory right of withdrawal applies to your purchase, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This may include artworks or presentation options produced specifically according to individual customer requirements.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Please return the artwork securely packaged and, where possible, in its original packaging.

If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact SILVERFINEART as soon as possible so that we can assist with the claim and arrange the appropriate next steps. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
