Born in Vöcklabruck, Austria, in 1975, Gerald Berghammer is an Austrian fine art photographer known for minimalist black-and-white and colour photography characterised by clarity, stillness and precise composition. His work focuses on landscapes, seascapes, architecture and cityscapes, using reduction, negative space and long-exposure techniques to reveal subtle structures, atmosphere and the essential character of each scene.

Working with both analogue and digital techniques, Berghammer combines technical precision with a restrained visual language. His limited-edition photographs have been exhibited internationally in galleries, exhibitions and art fairs and have received numerous photography awards. In both monochrome and colour, his approach remains centred on balance, atmosphere and timeless visual simplicity.
