WOODEN FISHING HUT ON STILTS STUDY 1 – FRANCE | GERALD BERGHAMMER
Wooden Fishing Hut on Stilts Study 1 is a minimalist analogue black-and-white long-exposure fine art photograph by award-winning Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer, captured in France in 2013. The atmospheric French coastal seascape depicts a solitary traditional wooden fishing hut on stilts, with its suspended fishing net extending above the calm waters. Through long-exposure photography, the sea is transformed into a smooth, mist-like surface, creating a striking contrast with the structure's geometric lines, delicate fishing equipment and architectural details. The expansive pale sky, refined monochrome tones and generous negative space evoke stillness, solitude and timeless elegance. The carefully balanced composition combines traditional French coastal architecture with minimalist landscape photography, revealing the quiet beauty of a historic fishing tradition. Subtle textures, soft tonal gradations and the interplay between solid structures and flowing water create depth without disturbing the photograph's contemplative atmosphere. Available as a limited-edition black-and-white fine art print, this atmospheric French seascape appeals to collectors of analogue photography, minimalist coastal landscapes and architectural fine art. Its understated elegance makes it particularly suitable for contemporary, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors, bringing a sense of tranquillity and refined visual presence to living rooms, bedrooms, offices, hotels and curated art collections.
