BRASSICA NAPUS STUDY 1 – FRANCE | GERALD BERGHAMMER
Brassica Napus Study 1 is a black-and-white fine art landscape photograph by Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer, capturing a flowering rapeseed field in the French countryside. The composition features a carefully aligned row of trees extending across the distant horizon, while the delicate texture of the rapeseed blossoms fills the foreground. The pale, expansive sky creates a sense of openness, emphasising the contrast between the dark silhouettes of the trees and the softly rendered landscape.
Photographed in 2018, the work exemplifies Berghammer's minimalist approach to landscape photography, transforming a quiet rural scene into a study of natural geometry, rhythm and stillness.
This original exhibited gelatin silver print on baryta paper was produced in 2019 and is presented in a dark-brown wooden frame with a natural-white archival mount and anti-reflective glass offering 70% UV protection. Signed, numbered and dated, Edition 1/9 is offered in its existing framed condition, ready to hang and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
