EMELY – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
Emely (2019) is a contemporary figurative bronze sculpture by German sculptor Nando Kallweit, presented as edition no. 1 of 50. Measuring 20 cm in height, the seated female figure combines an elongated torso and slender limbs with a sharply angled, abstracted head. One leg bends towards the body while the other extends outwards, creating a relaxed yet expressive composition. The dark, textured bronze surface reveals subtle variations in tone, with light catching the angular contours of the shoulders, arms and legs. Kallweit's characteristic reduction of anatomical detail draws attention to the relationship between posture, proportion and negative space. Despite its compact dimensions, the sculpture has a distinctive architectural presence.
Balancing abstraction with recognisable human form, Emely conveys a sense of quiet contemplation and understated elegance. Its sculptural silhouette and restrained visual language make it particularly suited to contemporary interiors and collections of figurative bronze sculpture.
The sculpture is signed by Nando Kallweit, with the edition number stamped into the base. A Certificate of Authenticity is available upon request.
