Nando Kallweit – Evi (5/25)

EVI (5/25) – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
Evi (2020) is a contemporary figurative bronze sculpture by German artist Nando Kallweit, presented as edition no. 5 of 25. Standing 72 cm high, the female figure is characterised by an elongated body, angular shoulders, a narrow waist and a distinctively geometric head. Its slender proportions and restrained posture create a strong vertical silhouette.

The dark, textured bronze surface reveals pronounced sculptural marks and subtle variations in tone. Light catches the angular contours of the head, shoulders and torso, emphasising the relationship between form, material and shadow. The open spaces between the arms and body introduce visual lightness, contrasting with the solidity of the bronze.

Balancing abstraction and figuration, Evi reflects Kallweit’s exploration of the human form through reduction, proportion and gesture. The sculpture combines architectural clarity with a quiet sense of movement, creating an elegant yet distinctive presence.

With its refined silhouette and expressive surface, Evi is particularly suited to contemporary interiors, minimalist architectural spaces and carefully curated collections of figurative sculpture.

Created in 2020, this bronze sculpture measures 72 × 15 × 15 cm and belongs to a limited edition of 25.

Nando Kallweit is a German sculptor renowned for his distinctive contemporary figurative bronze sculptures, characterised by elongated proportions, elegant silhouettes and a refined minimalist aesthetic. His artistic approach combines the timeless tradition of figurative sculpture with a modern visual language defined by simplicity, balance and expressive form.

At the heart of Kallweit’s work is the human figure, interpreted through carefully reduced shapes and sculptural gestures. Rather than pursuing anatomical realism, he focuses on the essential characteristics of the body, transforming familiar human forms into elegant, stylised compositions. The interplay of proportion, movement and negative space gives his sculptures a distinctive sense of harmony and individuality.

His bronze figures often convey subtle emotions through posture and gesture, inviting viewers to discover their own interpretations. Graceful lines, elongated limbs and thoughtfully balanced compositions create an impression of lightness that contrasts with the physical permanence of bronze. Carefully textured surfaces and the interaction of light and shadow further enhance the expressive qualities of each sculpture.

Kallweit’s artistic language is both contemporary and timeless. His work explores the relationship between abstraction and representation, combining sculptural reduction with a strong sense of human presence. Each figure possesses its own character, revealing how simplicity of form can communicate emotion, elegance and quiet strength.

With their understated sophistication and distinctive sculptural presence, Nando Kallweit’s bronze artworks complement contemporary architecture, minimalist interiors and thoughtfully curated art collections. Whether presented as individual statement pieces or alongside fine art photography, his sculptures introduce a compelling dialogue between material, form and space.

At SILVERFINEART Gallery in Vienna, Austria, a curated selection of Nando Kallweit’s figurative bronze sculptures is presented to collectors and art enthusiasts, including limited editions and individually available works.
