INTO SORELLE DEL SOL (5/7) – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
Into Sorelle del Sol (2017) is a limited-edition figurative bronze sculpture by German sculptor Nando Kallweit, presented as edition no. 5 of 7. Standing 62.5 cm high, the elegant female figure is characterised by dramatically elongated proportions, angular shoulders and a gently curved silhouette. One arm rests against the hip, creating a restrained yet self-assured pose.A distinctive semicircular element finished in 24-carat gold leaf frames the figure's head, contrasting with the dark, textured bronze surface. The interplay of gold, patina and sculptural form emphasises the work's strong vertical composition and changing silhouette when viewed from different angles.
The figure's simplified features, slender proportions and carefully balanced stance reflect Kallweit's distinctive approach to contemporary figurative sculpture. Resting on a square bronze base, Into Sorelle del Sol combines expressive restraint with a striking architectural presence.
The sculpture measures 62.5 × 13.5 × 13.5 cm and belongs to a strictly limited edition of seven. The artist's signature and edition number are marked into the base. A Certificate of Authenticity is available upon request.
Combining traditional bronze casting with the luminous quality of 24-carat gold leaf, this contemporary sculpture makes a distinctive addition to a collection of figurative bronze art.
