RIAN II – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
RIAN II is a limited-edition figurative bronze sculpture created in 2019 by German sculptor Nando Kallweit. The elongated male figure reclines on a narrow rectangular base, supported by one arm while the other rests on a raised knee. Its extended leg, angular head and carefully balanced proportions create a distinctive horizontal composition. The dark patinated bronze reveals a richly textured surface, with subtle variations in light emphasising the sculptural contours. Through reduced anatomical detail, open space and an expressive yet restrained posture, Kallweit transforms a moment of repose into a timeless contemporary form.
With its elegant silhouette and understated presence, RIAN II complements contemporary interiors, architectural spaces and carefully curated art collections.
