POPULUS FOREST – AUSTRIA | GERALD BERGHAMMER
Populus Forest is a black-and-white fine art photograph by Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer, depicting a strikingly symmetrical plantation of poplar trees in Austria. The composition draws the viewer into a narrow passage between densely arranged rows of slender trees, their delicate branches forming an intricate network of natural lines. The strong central perspective creates an almost architectural sense of depth, while the contrast between illuminated trunks and darker woodland areas emphasises the forest's geometric structure. Through its carefully balanced composition, refined tonal gradations and minimalist visual language, the photograph transforms an ordinary woodland scene into a timeless study of rhythm, repetition and natural symmetry.
This original gelatin silver print on baryta paper, Edition 1/7, was printed in 2017 and has previously been exhibited. Offered as the existing physical artwork in its original presentation, the photograph is housed in a handmade natural wood frame with a natural-white archival mount and anti-reflective glass providing 70% UV protection. Measuring 100 × 100 × 4.5 cm, the framed work is signed, numbered and dated, ready to hang and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Available through the SILVERFINEART Exhibited Art collection, this original exhibited photograph offers collectors the opportunity to acquire a distinctive example of Berghammer's minimalist black-and-white landscape photography.
