ELISABETH – SERIAL UNIQUE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
ELISABETH (2024) is a serial unique figurative bronze sculpture by German sculptor Nando Kallweit. The seated female figure is defined by an elongated neck, a sharply faceted head and a slender, angular torso. One leg extends outwards while the other hangs vertically, creating an asymmetrical composition. The long arms rest over the bent leg, forming an interplay of intersecting lines and open spaces.

The dark patinated bronze reveals subtle variations in tone and texture, with warmer highlights catching the contours of the head, shoulders and limbs. Rather than relying on anatomical detail, Kallweit uses simplified forms and carefully considered proportions to express balance, gesture and a quiet sense of movement. The contrast between the upright torso and the relaxed seated position gives the sculpture its distinctive character.
