FAE VICTORIA – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
Fae Victoria (2021) is a contemporary figurative bronze sculpture by German artist Nando Kallweit, presented here as edition no. 17 of 50. Measuring 30 × 15 × 8 cm, the work depicts a slender, elongated female figure with two dramatically extended wing-like forms. The asymmetrical wings create a sweeping horizontal counterpoint to the upright body, giving the composition a striking sense of movement and balance. The dark bronze surface reveals pronounced sculptural textures, particularly along the feather-like wings and angular contours of the figure. Viewed from different angles, the silhouette shifts from an expansive frontal composition to a refined, almost linear profile. Light catches the raised edges and textured details, emphasising the interplay between form, line and negative space.
Fae Victoria brings together Kallweit's characteristic reduction of the human figure with a distinctive suggestion of flight. Its expressive silhouette and carefully balanced proportions create a strong sculptural presence while retaining a sense of lightness and openness.
The sculpture is signed by the artist, with the edition number marked on the underside of the bronze base.
