Nando Kallweit – Thomas

THOMAS – FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE | NANDO KALLWEIT
THOMAS (2024) is a serial unique figurative bronze sculpture by German artist Nando Kallweit. The work depicts a seated male figure holding an open book. Its elongated neck, geometric head, angular shoulders and slender limbs create a distinctive, reduced silhouette. The asymmetrical position of the legs adds a relaxed, contemplative quality to the composition.

The dark patinated bronze has a textured, faceted surface, with subtle highlights revealing the sculptural contours. The interplay of angular forms, open spaces and carefully balanced proportions is characteristic of Kallweit's contemporary figurative language. Viewed from different angles, THOMAS reveals a changing relationship between the body, its gesture and the surrounding space.

Measuring 15 × 8.5 × 6.5 cm, THOMAS is individually finished as a serial unique work and hand-signed by the artist.
