WILLI – SERIAL UNIQUE FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE BY NANDO KALLWEIT
Willi (2019) is a serial unique figurative bronze sculpture by German artist Nando Kallweit. The seated figure is characterised by an elongated torso, a faceted head and angular limbs. With one knee raised and the other leg extended, the sculpture conveys a relaxed yet contemplative posture. The textured bronze surface and dark patina emphasise the sculptural contours and geometric forms. Reduced anatomical details and subtle asymmetry give the figure an individual character, while the interplay of compact proportions and open spaces creates a balanced composition. Despite its small scale, Willi possesses a distinctive presence that changes with the viewing angle.
Measuring 9.5 × 8 × 7 cm, this individually finished and signed serial unique bronze reflects Kallweit’s contemporary interpretation of the human figure, combining expressive simplicity with understated elegance.
Certificate of Authenticity available upon request.
