BOAT HOUSE AT MOUNTAIN LAKE – AUSTRIA | GERALD BERGHAMMER
Boat House at Mountain Lake is a black-and-white fine art photograph by Austrian photographer Gerald Berghammer, depicting a secluded wooden boathouse on the shore of a forest-lined mountain lake in Austria. The composition centres on a small boathouse nestled against a dense woodland backdrop. The intricate textures of the surrounding trees contrast with their softly blurred reflections stretching across the lake's surface. Subtle variations of light and shadow reveal the depth of the forest, while the solitary structure provides a quiet focal point within the expansive natural setting. The interplay between sharply defined details and flowing reflections creates a sense of tranquillity, isolation and understated beauty.
Photographed in 2020, the work exemplifies Berghammer's minimalist approach to black-and-white landscape photography. Through its restrained tonal palette, carefully balanced composition and emphasis on the relationship between nature and human presence, the photograph captures a fleeting moment of stillness in an otherwise changing landscape.
This exhibited archival pigment ink print was produced in 2020 and is presented in a handmade dark-brown wooden frame with a natural-white archival mount and anti-reflective glass offering 70% UV protection. Numbered 1/9, signed and dated, the artwork includes a Certificate of Authenticity and comes ready to hang.
